Hey! My name is Riaz [yes, that's my real name, it's on my birth certificate] and I'm a heterosexual male roleplayer [rare, huh?] I'm 23, live in Upstate, New York, unemployed [so I have tons of time on my hands to RP!], but really, really, really, really good looking. Don't believe me? For shame. Anyway, this is my example journal. I figured I'd make one since it's the `in` thing to do. So here's some info:

( one. ) I been RPing for close to a decade. Mostly because I have no life. It's kinda my thing though, I love to write. Over the years I'd like to think I've gotten better at it, so I like to surround myself with people who write well as well. That's not to say I won't play with you if others think you're not so great -- I too was once a novice and I would've loved the chance to play with more experienced roleplayers so I can try and better myself but I was never given the opportunity. Mind you, I'm not saying I'm GREAT or anything. But I've found that sub-par writers sometimes have better imaginations than brilliant writers.
( dos. ) Which brings me to my next point: I LOVE imagination. Let's build a strong plot first that we can further build on when we get into the game. It's more fun that way 'cause we're not stuck just staring at one another with no idea wtf to do next and we end up abandoning the characters or things just get so lame we just avoid one another. That's not cool.
( purple. ) As a hopeless romantic, I'm totally down with some romance. Though, I have to draw the line at insta-romances. Unless it comes pre-packaged with a story, I tend to shy away from it only because I find it too simple and boring. I love relationships where there's some sort of conflict, where one character pushes and the other pulls. The `sitcom couple` is always the best dynamic for me. Dynamic is one of the most important things to me. Lovey-dovey, sexin' 24/7 = boring.
( four. ) I -do- roleplay out the sex. Yeah, gimme your smut. Unfortunately, only in limited quantities. I have a bunch of characters. Most of 'em? Horndogs. I don't have all day to sit around and play out the same repetitive jargon. If it's important to the story and further's the chemistry between characters, then I'm SO there. Otherwise, you might as well sit in the Rhy'Din Hot Tubs chat room and wait for someone with a thirty inch dong to come along.
( square. ) Below is the list of characters I play. NO, I do NOT play by PB [notice how I didn't say 'these are the PBs I like to use when I RP'?] I make very detailed, very fleshed out characters and I play them in my storyline, ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) futureshock [currently it's under heavy construction, but it should be up soon!] Yes, they ALL belong to my storyline. I love variety among my boys. Back in the old days I had one character that was the every-man. Of course, back in the old days, he also rode around on dragons and had a thirty inch dong.
And yes, this is all a shameless, shameless, yet masterful plot at advertising my storyline and finding more lines for my characters to interact with. The storyline [I guess you guys call 'em 'comms'/'communities' or whatever] I created in such a way so that it isn't completely confining to have a sort of character that's supposed to be this-or-that. There's a HUGE amount of things to do with it and the character you create is free to be whatever you want them to be [as long as things aren't too .. you know, old-school. You're still playing within the confines of my wonderful creation.]
